Seats too big:(
mk-indy-zx9r - 10/7/12 at 08:39 AM

Just brought another Mk indy, but the seat is to wide and too low for me
Is there a foam insert avalible that will fit in the bucket seat like they have for go-karts?

Surely a replacement narrow seat is an easy thing to fit?

Keep the fat one for when you sell it.

I need a fat seat but only have a skinny place to put it......

Swipe some of those chesterfield pillows from the living room and you're off to the races. This has to be a first. I've never heard of anybody complaining of a 7 being too big! Congratulations!

It is quite different when you wear thicker clothing as well. My seats fit well in summer, but in the autumn, when I need a coat, it's a bit tight, and not that pleasant. So the reverse is true too then.

A couple of litres of 2-pack foam, a (good quality) bin bag and (ideally, but not an absolute requirement) a helper.

Tape seat-side of bag to seat, add foam, sit in seat. Feel nice and warm as it all expands and sets, ideally you're wearing a respirator, or are at least outside in moving air. Wearing a Tyvek (or similar) suit can be a good idea too. Extract yourself from seat, possibly difficult (!), trim foam.

As above, do a foam insert inside your seat, or scrap the seat completely.
