B&Q did a cheapish tool in plumbing dept
this will give you better results plus is much cheapness, just take a little time to
make
something called oyster plier in B&Q is you really want to know.

Wall thickness is what matters, not tube diameter.
yep, good point. It's about 1.5mm, so looks similar to the gauge of pipe in the video's.
Will give it a go.

I can vouch for the fact that it does, but takes a looooong time
Merlin motorsport put beads on to aluminium tube for £2.95 each, though I suspect you need to buy the tube from them as well.

IIRC CBS also offer the service.
