Kids have just been on the PC, typed 'Holly' into Google and hit search images. I am running Mozilla Firefox with the latest update and
although I have Google Safesearch set to moderate filtering, it returned quite a few pornographic images
It even returned a few when I set it to Strict Filtering. It's the first time this has happened when searching for images and I don't want
it to happen again.
I have AVG installed and run Clean-up, Spybot Search and Destroy, and Ad-Aware SE on a weekly basis.
What else can I do to ensure it doesn't happen again?
Phil
Reason for the delay in responding is that all the LCB's are typing Holly into google images!
It is a real pain but I cannot find anyway to stop everything.
Steve
I see what you mean having checked it in the name of research!
Proper stuff as well not just scantily clad Miss Christmases.

it.

You might want to also consider a content filtering proxy
http://myweb.tiscali.co.uk/proxomitron/
or http://www.privoxy.org/
or http://muffin.doit.org/
If you run Firefox also install the AdBloc Plus addon https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/1865
I just tried it (in the name of research you understand ) with "moderate safesearch" enabled I get no porn at all, just a few girls in
bikinis on the first page but definitely no T & A.
With safesearch tuned off there are quite a few dodgy pics.
wow, Holly does indeed like her toys
