Whats the best way to clean the haze off a convertible hood acrylic window?
Just changed the hood on an MX5 I aquired off here and the rear window is a bit blue and hazzy.
Meguiars do a plastic cleaner and polish specifically for hood windows called 'Plastx'.
Did our Moke hood with it some time ago and the windows came up really clear and sparkling!
as above but be very careful with getting it on fabric.
Renovo do a complete range of products for hoods, including plastic window restorer..

have used their stuff for years.
Is there a "free" product that I can try (something from the Kitchen/Bathroom cupboards)?

it worked for me with a cheap bottle of thinners from ASDA.
Hmmm, that rings a bell as what I'd been told. Nervous about trying it though. I'll experiment on the old (broken) hood first I think.
ps. The Autosol plastic polish didn't clear it... Just left a very shiny but still blue haze
oh, i remember i tried with toothpast before the thinners, didnt do anything!
