Hi,
Anyone have any opinions / ideas / suggestions as to why I should fit or not fit some half size side door things to my Avon?
Half size because I only have an aero screen and they will meet at the top corner of the aero screen.

I think the half doors llok great; give it that aggressive wedge look. The might also be practical in increasing the saftey of the occupants!

Hmmmm ,that yellow seven does look good ,but a lot of shapes tend to look ok with the right colour . Maybe not in other colours though? P'raps make some from cardboard and spray them in body colour ,stand back and squint at them to get the rough idea of what they look like?Just my two penn' oth ! ROD
I think that looks naff, like it's trying to be something else, Cal look hot rod or something. Seems as if he built the car and decided he didn't want that type of car after all. It won't be long before someone leans on the door and rips the scuttle off. Stick with your tonneau cover and just fasten half of it when you are on your own.
If you're feeling brave, advertise a set of half doors for sale over on blatchat and wait for the response. I
guarantee you will have them 'sold' ( not that they actually exist of course ) within minutes with another list of drooling would be buyers
clamouring to get second chance on them.
They really need to get out more...

Good point about the colour, although there are a few other colours (the sexy carbon fibre blue one for example). As for the hot rod looks, I
don't think so. It is a matter of scale. If you look at other pics of this car you see its rop barely reachs knee height , so I would not
imagine that the resemblence to hot rod would carry into real life. It may more likely resemble a wedge of gauda cheese! A very scary wedge of cheese
in your rear mirror.

The top spec RCB77 is only 38,000 euros,
What a bargain.
I do like the doors, there is one on that site where the doors dont open, it is actually the body work. ok if your tall.

FWIW - I had a wide body F27 and side screens/doors made a huge difference, especially at speed, I found my sinuses were no longer being permanently pummelled. I made a pair of Perspex deflector wings (bit Cobra-esque), which helped a huge amount. Beware of the restriction on your elbows whatever you make!
