Something appears not quite right about that engine????????
Too cheap to start with.

The old f1 turbo engines used to make around 1500hp in qualifying trim.
How the heck did they manage to squeeze 850hp and 10,000rpm out of a 1500cc 4 pot back then That thing even looks like its running a distributor,
although i can't imagine its on points LOL
When you consider the advances in engineering, (mainly by the Japanese) in the last 20 years, a much modified turbo Busa probably only makes 500 hp.
No wonder it was on 500 mile rebuilds. Lovely piece of engineering, and as most things Italian they even made it look good.....Mama Mia if i win the
lotto i'll buy it for the Se7en.

Looking at the pics, does anyone know how the inlet cam is being driven? Also there seems to be an 'extra' exhaust header on the last pic, i
count 6 pipes, one is from the dump valve, but 5 seem to be going up under the heat shield.
If i do win the lotto, and buy it for the Se7en i think the passenger seat will have to be sacrificed to fit that turbo in

Inlet cam will probably be gear driven off the exhaust cam
I thought it must be, wonder why they chose to do it that way? you would think having two belt driven pulleys would make timing adjustments much
easier.

High output was achieved in part by use of specialist fuels (read rocket fuel).
Word at the time was that Ferraris, supplied by AGIP the state owned fuel company, were the worst to follow as their exhaust fumes were toxic
(literally).
So they either exploded or required frequent re-builds.

I'd rather have this little family run around!!
