Wonder if I'll be allowed in the shop yet?

Mike

Mr Whippy - 8/1/09 at 11:39 AM

sorry you now need a minimum of 7000, I'm nearly there, cheque book at the ready

Mr Whippy - 8/1/09 at 11:44 AM

hell I might as well make this my

7000th post

DarrenW - 8/1/09 at 12:04 PM

Do you want an invite Mike? Ive got a couple spare but only allowed to distribute to select people who meet the criteria.

David Jenkins - 8/1/09 at 12:23 PM

I quite like extra discount you get once you reach 10,000 posts... always welcome.

Hellfire - 8/1/09 at 12:28 PM

The shop customer numbers have been limited, so no matter how many posts you make, you'll not get in unless someone leaves.

lots of excusive secret stuff for your locost, like popout warp drives, magic anti-speed camera talisman and 7 sided furry dice

mr henderson - 8/1/09 at 12:44 PM

You don't need a high post count to get into the shop (although it helps) what you do need is to know the right people

Which is?

1) Has a moustache
2) Owns leather pants (very tight)
3) Has a leather cap
4) Always wears a white t-shirt

If you meet this criteria then contact Darren for a catalogue or ask Mr Henderson for a lone of his copy

Fozzie

bob tatt - 8/1/09 at 05:16 PM

I was just thinking the same thing myself..... It's a pity the shop can't be opened up to all Locostbuilders members. Having said that, it would get a bit cramped in there if it was and the bargains would probably be snapped up by unscrupulous members wishing to make a few quid on e-bay.

chrisg - 8/1/09 at 06:02 PM

Isn't it 4000 posts these days?

I'm just grateful for the opportunity, I'm sure that I couldn't get half the stuff any where else and as for the prices, wow!!!

I like the personal shopper scheme too.

Chris

Fozzie - 8/1/09 at 06:35 PM

Phil...the logistics of letting everyone in is just a nightmare..... and you are right, some of the stuff did end up on flea-bay..... so hence the shop link on the front page being disabled, and instead, invites being sent, it was either that or scrub it entirely..... ...and we can't do that, can we?

chrisg, glad you like the shops format!

Fozzie

The other way of getting in is through the 'Secret Shopper' operation. The really good thing about this is the rest of you who are shopping in there don't even know or realise that I am about when I am in there.

David Jenkins - 8/1/09 at 07:55 PM

I have a personal shopper who gets the stuff I want - I'm too posh to do it myself...
...after 10,000 posts one has standards to maintain, after all.
