How about a 'kit helicopter' powered by a V8 ?

That looks so ugly and clumsy!

On Mark Evans' "A chopper is born" programme they showed a gas turbine kit helicopter - hugely expensive but looked beautiful!

A v8 seems heavy for a helicoptor... a lot of builders in the U.S. use Rotax snowmobile engines. 2-cycle, oil injected, very light and powerful (800cc ~ 115hp)

why has it got a silencer ?

skydivepaul - 13/1/06 at 04:58 PM

looks like instant death if you ask me.

always wear a parachute you can jump out of the bugger then

Danozeman - 13/1/06 at 05:26 PM

Looks a bit funny. The exhaust sticking out the back looks daft.

I'd rather sh*/ my pants than fly in that. Bound to be some who will fly it tho. looks like the fuel tank will just get you into a hover

Erm... would you like to have a re-think about that?

Mark Allanson - 13/1/06 at 09:55 PM

I would feel a bit vunerable with it just flying overhead. Looks like it was built in Gulval.

Triton - 13/1/06 at 10:51 PM

Looks like somebody used a piaggio trike car thing with gulvalised tubing perhaps

Mark Allanson - 13/1/06 at 11:30 PM

Gulvalising

I think we have a new word!!

Gulvanic reaction: When your mobile rings, you see who is calling and ignore it.

Triton - 13/1/06 at 11:40 PM

Gulvanic irragation: A word for those moments when you just know you are being spun a yarn

Always make a Mini helicopter......
