Very nice mate
Will it mend my duff starter motor?
Cheers
Mark
i would have been buggered without mine for building my middy, money well spent. wish id have bought a decent one though instead of the clarke anchor.
Ive got a DB8 too and its been invaluable so far in my build, made al my own ally hose connectors at a fraction of the cost and plenty of other bits
and bobs too.
I would recommend you get an adjustable height tool post other wise your cutting at something like 4.5mm below the center line with the default tools
they give you, i managed to shim mine up to the right height but im saving for a proper tool post.
I've never owned a lathe that didn't require shims under the tools - apart from a very expensive item that had interchangeable tool holders.
It's a totally expected situation.
cheers,
David
I just use the 'steel-rule-between-the-tool-and-the-chuck' method of ensuring the tool is the correct height.
A "phase II" tool post and tool holders(6pc set) goes for about $199.00 U.S...Interchangable tools saves hours of set up time!! Very nice
lathe!
