Recommendations: Exhaust designers in the South East
russtik - 11/10/17 at 10:01 PM
Hello.
Looking for recommendations of great exhaust system designers and manufacturers based (roughly) in the South East. Someone who is proven to
make the most of an engine's potential, i.e. not just someone who can weld pipes together. Who would you recommend and why?
Cheers

AB Performance (Suffolk) may be worth a look.

Thanks for the recommendations so far guys. What I'm really looking for in this thread is why are you recommending somebody? What has led
you to believe a given supplier can deliver to the performance potential beyond their claims on their website or the welds look nice on your mates
exhaust?

OK, how about this for a "why" for simpsons.

To add to this Simpson provide most of the btcc grid with exhausts even before he entered the series, most stock cars, grass track and classic touring
cars and gets have his systems. Have a look at the Facebook page for images and testimonials some lovely cars have there systems on, there is quite a
few video clips on the net of the sound they produce (although each is unique as majority of there exhausts are bespoke)
Take a look at my photo archive, if you want more photos let me know the quality is amazing and the welds a spot on far better than any I have seen on
other systems. Still looks good today as it did a few years ago when made
When we went down to spec the system I asked for a system that would not give me issues with track day noise, still sound good and produce good power
throughout. They delivered on all counts, when it was mapped by Dave at emerald he commented on how strong the engine was and the amount of torque was
very good for a 2.0l
Never had an issue at track days, visited Rockingham,Bedford,Caldwell, snetterton, donnington, silverstone, brands most we have been recorded at is 96
static and never clipped a drive by.

AB get generally good feedback from everywhere = esp re: their work on bike engines. From what I have seen of their work (mostly photos on their
Facebook page) they look to do very good fabriaction work. I posted more as a lead for you to follow up than a personal recommendation.
