2000 Blade engine emissions

Think I have found a pukka 2000 blade engine (carb model) but what I want to know is what I will need to do to get it through the emissions test at the SVA, will I need to 'rent a cat'? Is this hard to sort or do I need to just ensure I get a pre '95 engine?

thanks,
Rich.

You get rent-a-cat (easy), and you need to drill a hole in the exhaust for the lamda probe (on the underside to keep it neat), and weld on a nut.

ST did all of this for me and included in the rent-a-cat for about £150 to 200 a few years ago.
