FIRST DRIVE TODAY gear problem?
my car is almost complete with just the front wings, mirrors and boot cover to do.
i took it up and down the drive today after a few stalls, one of my concerns is the difficulty to get first gear,i am having to pull one paddle while
pushing the other in a kind of ramming fashion.
will this ease off or is there possibly a clutch problem os something else?
engine is a zx10r from on 07 year.
thanks Jamie.

I wouldn't worry. Most bike engines need a bit of welly to get into first. From then on they snick up the rest of the box very nicely. When
I'm changing down I often forget to give it an extra bit of oomph when going from 2nd to 1st.... I'll learn given time!!!

Have you driven a BEC before? I've driven several now and they all had difficulty selecting 1st from a standstill. Most wanted a dip of the
clutch and a firm hand before the gear would engage.

Mine selects first easy enough. If it doesn't want to go let the clutch out and in again and retry.
It takes a while to get used to setting off. About 1000 miles before I didn't stall at least once on a run! You'll know your getting used
when it only happens when people are watching.

congrats on first drive.
The problems don't seem major.
I am very close to that point, but my drive isn't long enough to be worth driving!
