buying an engine for BEC

hi all
If I was buying a bike engine to fit in a car should it really have a logbook with it, if not would it cause problems for SVA etc or when registering - apart from the obvious proof of ownership issues.
Thanks
Simon

Nope. If you've got an invoice and it looks legit (ie engine numbers not ground off etc etc) then there should be no problems....

No you do not need the log book for the bike the engine came from. Just make sure the engine number is on it still.

No probs with SVA/registering as loads of us have done it on here.

A V5 from the donor vehicle probably sierra would be needed if you want an age related plate.
