which R1 exhaust silencer to use ?
Any ideas of which silencer to use on my r1 5jj carb engine sylva striker, at present im using a carbon can, which i've repacked but can still
be heard in the next county!! it is just to noisy, im after something i can use on track day's, hill climb's, something that's under
the noise level and does'nt draw to much attention, also non restrictive if poss, wondered what you guy's use on your r1,s

Many, self included have used cthe R1 can for SVA and trackday quietness successfully.
I wonder if yours is just shot?
Unrestrictive and quiet is always going to be a trade off though.

I had to get one made up especially as i was sick of problems on trackdays. I used a place called SW fabrications in Banger, made to my exact size for
£180. Its now nice a quiet.
I see you are in Kiddy, not far fom me if you want to see the can.

does he know me or just seen the car?
I'm actually about to replace my can with an R1 can and CAT to meet race regs. Going to keep my nice shiney quiet can for trackdays if i get
kicked off.

mine can is 6.5" but very long, dropped noise from 102 to 96 static. but I still got kicked off at doni hitting 99.7 on driveby, but this was
purely down induction. I haven't had a problem at anyother circuit, so just stay away from doni now, which is a shame as I do like it
