Blade exhaust
Can anyone tell me what size the pipes are on a blade exhaust where they meet the head?
Also does anyone have a drawing of the exhaust flange that bolts to the head, for laser cutting?

standard pipes are around 1.25", I made my headers from 1.5" stainless and was able to turn out the centre of the standard flanges to fit
without any issues.
You will also need some slightly larger tube which sleeves the end of the tube that the flange pushes against, again I was able to turn out the
standard stuff and weld in my new 1.5" tube.

Hi Chris. You could always rework a standard blade exhaust like we did. We cut it up into straight bits and bends and started from there.
Since ours is a 929 Blade it has the added advantage of being Titanium as standard.
The standard flanges are used.
Are you making one up for yourself? Can you TIG weld? If so I can probably get you some Titanium welding wire. I know we have quite a bit. The
difficult bit is making the collector. The welding itself is easy enough, according to my co-builder, Eldon.
The whole exercise could be done with 918 or 893 headers, of course. Very time consuming, but worth it in the end, we think.
Have you fitted those rear hubs yet??

Yes, as in the pictures above, you can clearly see the difference in size, plenty of meat to lathe out.
I just used new stainless 90 degree bends from Ebay and throw the old tubes away.
Took a couple of days to make so a decent saving for a bit of time.

Thanks for the offer Geoff, I'm having one made, the guy wants to get some material in and get the flanges cut. I haven't got an exhaust
to measure or any existing flanges to use or copy.
I haven't fitted the hubs yet as I've dropped a bit of a b*ll*ck. I've taken the shafts off the car and now I can't get the
hub nuts off!!
Ineed to find a mahoosive vice....
