blade temp sensor
need to fit a ETB temp sensor to my 919.
i was hoping it would screw straight in to the existing location but i don't think the thread is correct.
where is the best place to fit it to get accurate readings?
cheers

I pulled out the sensor in my blade engine, plucked off the hose outlet and stuffed with rags then redrilled and tapped to take a standard car
sensor.
There is lots of room in there for this. It is a really good place for it, when datalogging my jaw you can see immediate changes in values when
applying throttle which is what you need.
If if all goes horribly wrong all you have to do is wind in a bank and retap to the original size.

problem with drilling end tapping the existing location is the hole size is correct, just the wrong thread. the new sensor will screw in a turn or so
then gets tight.
not sure what the standard sensor is , the ETB one is 1/8" NPTF

The original was probably 1/8" bsp then. NPT is slightly larger (about 15 thou I think) and has 27 tpi as opposed to BSP which is 28 tpi.
You'll get away with running an NPT tap in to it if you have one.
