R1 carbed emissions?

Just getting my car ready for SVA now...

Where's the best place to start in terms of a base setting for fuelling?

Has anyone got any piccies of which mixture screws to set?

And also the fail points for the test?

Carbed r1 engine

Hi winston
the haynes workshop manual for the yamaha R1 has some good pics and info for the carbs i got mine from Halfords
also i purcahased a carb tune balancing tool to balance the carbs good tool!

Assuming your engine is post '95...

Fast idle test (2500-3000 revs)
CO less than 0.3%
HC less than 200ppm
Lambda between 0.97 and 1.03

Natural idle test
CO below 0.5%
