Look what I have picked up for my Mini BEC Project

Hey All,

I picked one of these up yesterday

Mine does not have the front dash bar but it has a harness bar at the back instead

It is new. Normally £300+ but I got it for £175 of another forum! YAY!

Now I can get it in and get on with cutting the tunnel for the rear wheel drive conversion. GULP!!!!

Looks good, How do you get it into the Mini ? Will it pass through the door or is it in kit form?

Steve.

The roof bars and doglegs come off They can be welded in or bolted. I will probably bolt the whole thing in to give me more flexiblity and to make it easier for maintenance, etc...

I fitted a Roll centre weld in cage to a Mini a few years ago. The only way to properly weld the top parts of the cage was to cut holes in the floor for the front and rear legs to drop through, weld the top bits, lift the cage up and then plate under the legs to cover the holes.

This was a really tricky job but it was done properly which was good as I rolled it on my second event!
