Anyone using R1 EXUP Removal Circuit with a 5PW?
Hi,
After building this circuit over a year ago I finally got around to fitting it a few days ago.
However there isn't a black and yellow wire on my 5PW EXUP connector, nearest is black and green. Also there's a blue and something wire
but I'm guessing that one is left unconnected.
I tried connecting the black and green wire to where the black and yellow goes on the schematic and I still get error code 17
What colour wires have other people connected on the 5PW as I'm guessing its different to the 4XV but from what JimG put the same circuit works
- just need to know which wires...
(I also posted this on the original thread but received no reply, here:

Pdlewis,
I can't see a link to your blog anywhere (checked in profile too).
Gimme a link and I'll have a look.
Someone else replied that you have to wait a while for it to clear the code.
I thought (wrongly) that it would clear pretty much instantly and so in combo with my wire colour woes I assumed something was wrong.
I'll run the engine a bit longer and see if it clears etc.

I guess it might be showing more as I think I removed the EXUP then faffed around with something else that required me to start the engine and in
doing so generate the error code.
Rather than remove EXUP, fit replacement circuit and then start up (so in theory never raising the error).

Finally sorted it, I'd missed a link out on my vero layout.
As soon as I bridged this the error code and light went away.
Rather than potting with epoxy or hot glue (both permanent), I've got for a load of sam tape and a snug fitting box (oo-er!).
Sorted.
