Am I the only one
Am I the only person on this forum to be building a Gsxr1100 engined car, 'cause I am getting quite lonely. It is a good engine honest, quite
torquey (For a bike), reliable, easy to get parts for, only one downside, it's oil and air cooled, but get a big oil cooler and thats not a
problem. Anyway, it is perfect for a sprint/hillclimber as you only have the engine running for a little while, so you may even be able to run it
without an oil cooler.

yip the gsxr 1100 is a brilliant engine ,bullet proof .but they do run very hot .my dad has one with 40,000 miles on the clocks and he still has fun
on track days ,easy to check the tappets as well rather than most of the later shim type engines(cams out an all that)

Fit a humungous oil cooler along with a humungously powerful fan and problem solved. Oil temperature guage would come in handy as well.

If I remember...
I think I saw a gsxr11 engined car way back on the Ron Champion website (before they became / merged with Luego).
Silver I think, looked good.
I don't know whether it's still around / known to the group?
Adam.
