Fuel pump

Strange issues since iv'e been on the road

893cc blade fine up to 65mph and then at motorway speeds (70 ish) its fine for about 1 minute then loss of power and backfiring.

its running a R1 carb fuel pump

As soon as you stop and restart its fine again ??

Your thoughts appreciated ?

Almost certainly fuel starvation, have you checked all the lines/filters are clear?

try it without fuel tank filler cap on, if that cures it then it's a fuel tank venting issue

Most likely cause is a restriction between the suction side of the pump and the tank.

Remove filler cap, remove fuel pipe at pump inlet a blow back to the tank with a foot pump or low pressure air line.
