I've been told to get there early - about 9am or so - but they won't let BECs out before 12:30pm.
I still intend to go, but if it is p*ssing down rain on the day I might decide to stay dry.
You can read more about the club that's organising it here
Oh by the way, they charge extra passengers a fiver, but if you want a go that should be OK. I have a spare helmet, but bring your own helmet if you have a funny sized head / don't want nits

Just got back from the track day at Kirkistown. Absolutely amazing. The car performed flawlessly, my driving (distinctly granny-like) gradually improved, and towards the end I was really getting to grips with the car and the track I was having a ball. Totally magic. And do you know how much it cost?
£20.
Magic. Even the weather was perfect.
I ran in to Crazy Jay, Paul McQ, and David Cromie. Nice to be able to put a face to the names now.
I'll stick up some pics soon. And hopefully some video.

Here's an in-car video of me driving like a frightened granny round Kirkistown, however I did manage to chase down a ZX9 Stuart Taylor hillclimber (it was being driven by a first timer mind you) but I got caught in turn by a lovely orange mk1 escort rally car driven by a proper driver!!
incar1.wmv
The footage isn't that great to be honest - I intend to fit a bracket for the next day - and the vid is about 5.3Mb in size.

BTW they seem to work best of you right click and do a 'save to disk' or a 'save link as'.
