Blade & Diff combo max speeds ?
Hi Guys,
i'm sure this exists somewhere on the forum.. but for the 919cc blade, does anyone have the max speeds with the various ford diffs - for live
and independant diffs ?? i.e mainly 3.54 in live and 3.38 and 3.68 in independant ??
Thanks...........

Seeing that I am such a nice chap and you have made the effort to come all the way to Snetterton, I've worked these out for you
Diff.....206/60/13.....185/60/13
3.62.....122...........117...(IRS)
3.54.....125...........120....(live axle)
3.38.....131...........125.5...(IRS)
All the speeds assume max of 11,500 revs, in reality you can squeeze a bit more out of the blade, but you are well past the max power point by then
(around 10,750 I think).
Most racers just stick with the 3.38 or 3.54. Its not worth the bother to change diff for the shorter tracks.
Cheers
Paul

My standard blade engine with 3.62 LSD, 185/60/13's would pull 12,500 in top ~125 mph so perfect in this guise for the track.
Annoying on the road, really needs a 3.38 or lower as you can easily pull away in second.
