R1 barnett clutch springs

I fitted some barnett springs yesterday which went in fine torqued up to 10nm but i'm struggling getting the case back on and the clutch lever any hints/tips am i missing something. I can get the case back on but then the lever doesn't turn correctly.

on mine 2005, you need to position the hook on the spindle so it engages as you push it back on, it will rotate the lever the further you push it on, can't remember exactly but try turning it 90 deg to where it should be before starting?

Loop some fishing line through the oil fill hole to hold the teethed stem in place, then spin the lever at the bottom to grab the stem as the clutch basket cover goes on. My clutch spring plate inverted at the worst time possible - morning of the sva so i was doing this on the drive and it is stupidly fiddly but keep at it.
