First Drive

Drove the rush up the driveway for the first time today!

Spent all day in the garage, finished off the sensor wiring and tidied up behind the dash, re filled the cooling system after adding dedicated water and air temp sensors for the megasquirt, then gave the exhaust headers a polish and refitted the exhaust and sealed up the joints with high temp o2 sensor friendly silicone.

Then it rained!

When it stopped raining, rolled the rush out to fire it up and give driving it a go...... reverse selected on the quaife box, dipped clutch left paddle shift for first and then up with the clutch and........ we moved under Blackbird Power!

The engine runs like a bag of bolts and the idle is a bit high and eratic, but its now tuning stage, problem is i'm not sure where to begin? i'll have a read of the manual for starters but anyone got any pointers for megasquirt tuning?

List till IVA is getting short now...

Wire in Immobalisor
Remove and refit front arches
Refit side panels and make a pedal box side access panel
Make footwell top panel
Tune Engine
Cover the car in IVA trim etc..
Fix the brake level sensor back to the bottle and get a sticker for the bottle.

And i think thats it the biggest thing is going to be tuning the engine as i've not really got a clue where to start at the moment!

Ash.
