Fuel pump question
Just a quick and easy one for you BECers out there.
I am using the carb version of the blade engine.
The question, is it possible to use a fuel pump from a later injection blade or is the supply pressure to high for the carbs?

Way too high im afraid, injection will run at about 50psi or so, you need about 1.5psi for carbs

That what I thought, but i did not know if bikes had low pressure injection (not having had a chance to play with any) oh well.
Do you know of any non injection tank mounted fuel pumps.
Would a VW lift pump do the job?

Use an in line bike pump, there are only about 2 different types out there for all carb bikes anyway, so very easy to get. I'd get a spare and
carry it with you too as they can fail!

Yep that is one solution, but I was looking for a solution where the pump and sender are integrated so that the wiring will be neater without the need
for mounting the pump and a sender.
After a bit more reading i think a lift pump (low pressure I think as the main injection pump is after it) could be fitted to the top of the tank for
easy access.
There should be loads of them around as they fitted them to models with Bosch K jet injection.
I think I may even have one in the garage so I think a bit of rummaging testing is in order.
