R1 questions.
Trying to get some more done on the Indy of late and want to pick your collective brains about a few things please
Is this an idle adjuster? or is my guess wrong?
Do I need whatever this is?
And finaly for now. What are these pipes for? (circled in red) are they something to do with coolant for the carbs, and do I need the in the indy?
Thanks
Ben

You couldn't pwn your way out of a wet paper bag, with "PWN ME!!" written on it, from the "pwned take-away" which originally contained one
portion of chicken tikka pwnsala and the obligatory free pwnpadom.

The idle adjuster is a simple stop to prevent the throttle butterflies closing completely. It is handy for setting the revs to 2500 RPM for emissions
testing so you can leave the throttle pedal alone.
I can't see the pictures (work internet blocks some hosting sites) but there is a brass pipe through the carbs. You pass warm coolant through
it and it stops carb icing in cold weather. I only found it to be a problem in freezing fog and a trickle of warm coolant to my header tank sorted
it.

in the top pic il looks like u have connected the fuel line from the tank to a t piece which go's to 2 pipes to the top of the carbs
these are breathers
idler
the second picture is like filter/regulator for the emmisions system which u dont need to run so it can go
the third pic
bottom left if fuel inlet and top right is for coolent i dont run it on the indy as i dont have any problems
