R1 4xv diagnostics

I was wondering if i'm using aftermarket dials with a yamaha 4xv R1 engine, is it worth keeping the clocks and wiring there for diagnostic purposes?

What level of diagnostics does it give anyway?

Cheers
Steve

Hi, I've got a 5PW with digidash.
I kept mine, have got rid of the excess wiring & now have one connector with only a few wires under the dash.
Engine sensors etc. can be checked with them, also need clocks & stop switch to reset fault codes.
Not needed to use the clocks yet, but seems a bit daft not to keep them just in case.
Sods law etc.
