zzr1400 cranck breather ???

Hi all

after a great track day yesturday some teething problems with the engine breather,

i did run slightly over the oil lever but we have about 1/2 ltr of oil in the catch tank and now the oil level on the site glass is about half way up the glass,

i did fill it to the top of the site glass to start with, but not sure where the the level should be as the manual dosnt say only what amount of oil to put in with std sump, but i have ab perfomances billet sump so holds more oil,

any ideas welcome and to say i did run the breather to the floor level if i mounted it hogher would this be better??

thanks all,

Hi
I would definately relocate breather tank higher as oil in the connecting pipe can have a syphon like effect if it is lower than the breather and also if it doesnt have a filter on the breather tank vent, fit one. The additional back pressure helps prevent breathing. If you are really on it on track, a 2nd breather tapped off the cam cover will also help. If you need more info give me a call on 01449 736633
regards
Andy
