Short prop shaft
Hi after my saga of my prop letting go i'm finally fitting my new engine and i have most thing's done.I have fitted up the prop adapter on
my blade engined car.
I then tried to re fit the prop but it now look's like it's 30mm short of the adapter, does'nt look like anything has moved back as
the mount's have'nt bent. I have put the exact same engine in and with it being my first kit car i'm almost at my finall tether just
feel like doing a Basil Fawlty to the car.

sounds like the sliding nose has moved inwards, to be honest 30mm sounds like a lot, can't find a photo to describe what I mean sorry.
you should have say a 4" diameter prop at the end were it goes onto the adapter just before the UJ there should be a ring if you slacken that
off you should be able to slide the splined nose out or it might just slide out anyway

Sorry after inspection it may only be 15 - 20 mm it's the length of the retaining screw's short of the prop adapter if someone out there
has any picture's it would be mighty appreciated as this is the only thing that has me stumbed from getting the car running again.

As said above the front UJ is on a sliding joint. Have have you tried pulling it out to reach? If everything in in it's original possition

Thank's guy's you were right the prop slid out with a little brute strength.I just could'nt get my head round it.
Tomorrow last hose goes on and a good check and will try turning it over and hopefuly everything goes smoothly.
