Can someone tell me if the 08/09 unit will work on the 06/07 engine and cdi.

not sure but if you can you dont get an answer i can ask on friday i have a kawasaki specialist coming to look at my zzr1100 on friday night.
Ps how is the transplant coming on?
did it fit in the same cradle?

Thanks for that Jossey.
The transplant is coming along nice and steady thanks for asking. I've sold the 9 so I can start getting the other parts needed.
As for the cradle, it will need altering and the manifold will not fit either. Hey ho.

Yes it will mate, we did exactly the same and used an 09 unit on our 06 engine, fired up first time.

You ought to be ringing Mark and Colin @ MAC#1 mate, thats just about the only engine they fit!!
They may help on exhaust etc?

i need a new exhaust too so will be giving them a call.
i dont see why the manifold dont fit... wierd.....
