type zx9r bhp into google.

Most people seem to claim between 137 and 145 bhp at the wheel in a bike.

yours, Pete

I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.

Me neither....

I went round Donington in MK's fireblade powered de dion locost a few years ago with Lubek driving and it was fast enough. . I've got my ZX9R engine now and I've been mutilating my rear axle all day today.

ditching the standard exhaust and airbox alledgedly raises it to 150. Some would say it needs a rejet without the airbox, not a clue myself but it would seem a good idea.

We measured 120bhp at the rear wheels on AVA's dyno with our ZX9C powered LMP. This was with a dynojet kit, a Pipercross 'sausage' filter, and an unrestricted exhaust.

Transmission (g/box, diff, clutch, etc...) usually accounts for approx. 30% losses from 'flywheel' output. Because a ZX9 doesn't have a flywheel, this would probably be more like 25%, making the 150bhp figure feasible.

Best Regards,

Steve.

Rizla - it will feel fast - very fast, but then you'll get used to it and want more!!!

Performance depends on gearing
