GSXR750 and GSXR1000

I have a GSXR750 K1, I believe the crankcases are the same as the early GSXR1000 with regards to the rear engine mountings and basic size.

What I would like to do is use the 750 as a basic template until I can afford the GSXR1000 unit, I know the 1000 motor is taller by 15mm but I would like to use the 750 to prove I can actually install the thing in the front of a standard mini

It's been suggested I just use the 750, but even in a very light car, I just don't think it would work as I would like

Cheers
David

Search the gsxr forums for 750 to 1k engine swaps. It seems that the mounts are slightly different.

My guess is that if you go with 750 then you will always be planning the upgrade so better to do it straight off.

I wouldn't use the 750, the 1000 is more like it
