fireblade engine cost
Just wanted to know how much to expect to pay for a fireblade engine. Complete kit with exhaust to fit in a seven. I might be changing if i cant
resolve some issues with the zetec. Just wanted to see if i sell all the bits on the engine, I can afford to buy a complete fireblade kit . Hence not
spending more money.
cheers

The early 893cc complete packages come up now and again on the Westy forum, and the RGB forum as people up grade, at around the £800 to a £1000 price,
but what problems you having with Zetec, can't be that bad can it

Add a reverse to the cost too, a shifter of some type, diff ratio, 2 new props and it just doesn't make sense from a £££ view.
You'll be into 2k IMO

Standard 893/919 blade is okay on a 3.65 diff, 13,000rpm @ 125 so flat out at max rev's.
You should be able to get a good one for under £500, this then allows £500 for exhaust etc.
Personally if you are already megasquirted just find someone who can map properly and pay £200 to sort, I sat in Eddies 1800 Zetec at Brands which
felt perfectly fast enough, and more refined than a BEC.

You didn't say which fireblade engine.
If it's a carbed model you desire then I would be conscious about cheap engines as I found out the hard way about buying with goosed gear boxes.

sorry about late reply. Just some oil pressure issue. I was just thinking if I could not resolve it soon, I would rather get a new package with the
zetec bits than have to pay for a new engine. plus mapping and all that. But I would find out in the week if its salvageable
