zx9 engine nos c or e?
hi again
my zx9r engine no has both a c and an e in it, can someone please tell me if it is a c or e engine - any guesses to the approximate build date???

It's a 'c' engine - probably around 1999.

I had the same problem.
My engine came with nearly all the wiring bits and bobs from a 'C' model and the guy I bought it off said it was an 'E' model.
I was confused but began to strip the wiring loom. Some differences are that the 'C' model has 1 headlight relay, 'E' has 2.
The 'C' has a camshaft sensor and the 'E' does not. The sensor is positioned on the top right of the head as you look at the
exhaust ports and is blanked off on the 'E' model.
I am now sure that I have an 'E' model engine.
