U.S. R1 motor used in UK MKIndy?

Can anyone see any major problems with using a US R1 motor in a UK MK Indy? I'm thinking about the SVA and DVLA problems with a US engine number? Anyone had any experience with this or any advice?

Cheers for any help!

Chris.

just be aware that in California they have more strict emissions laws - it could be restricted a bit.....

I'm not sure this is true. In the US motorcycles do not have to go through emissions test--neither do diesels. I was surprised to see cats in the bike cans. I have one from a 954 blade and it does not have a cat in it.

Bikes are never emission tested here - only cars over 3-4 years old.

California bikes have extra emissions gear on them to meet state requirements - as colibriman mentioned they are usually a little down on power.
