BEC Airbox

Following advice that i could try fitting my original airbox upside down, rather than use a foam filter, it fits under the bonnet OK.

But do you think this will flow enough air??

It's about 50mm from top of gearbox to face of filter?

I would have thought it would be fine, when you turn the blade airbox round it's not far from the gearbox.

I'm sure someone who's using this engine will confirm one way or the other.

I'm using a reverse airbox on a zx9r, the inlets are close to the gearbox and it seems fine. I've got a built in bonnet bulge, but think it would probably be ok without.

I'm doing a ZX Locost and I've cut the airbox to turn it over. The flange was offset so it wasn't a straight swap but it puts the intakes clear of everything. Rescued attachment airbox1.JPG

yours, Pete

I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.
