speed sensor - hall or reed?

hello there

can anyone tell me if i need a hall effect probe or a reed switch for the speed sensor on my zx9r bec??? i am assuming it wont be the reed switch as i have 3 wires - but could it be an option???

We have three wires on the blade and we know that's a Hall...

No help probably, but at least you now know!

Reed switches are mechanical so wear out - so use Hall.
with 1 magnet on a wheel that's about 1000 actuations per mile. Typical relay/ switch is specc'ed for a million applications - that's just a thousand miles.
