Mk indyblade vs Honda S2000
Afternoon all, I'm thinking of changing my mk indyblade for a Honda S2000 am I mad? Has anybody had a s2000? to help me out with my decision to
swap or not. I've had the Indy since 2008 so maybe it's time for a change but I just don't want to be left disappointed if I do.
Thanks for any help or opinions on the matter.

Will be totally different S2000 lovely engine but handling a disappointment I'll buy a mx5 2005 onwards if it was my choice or an Elise if a had
the money if I was going to sell my kit car ?

It's a bit of a hard one to compare.
You will miss the mk on the sunny days and of you track day it and plus the s2000 won't get the attention like the mk will (good and bad)
I like the s2000 and its sounds great but I couldn't ditch a bike engine car for a car with as previously mentioned less than great handling.
But....
When it rains the s2000 is a much better choice.
Thanks

As Jossey says, there really is no comparison, apart from they both have 2 seats and 4 wheels
But....
I was considering an S2000 until my Haynes is built. I also looked at Boxsters. But when this turned up with its 230bhp straight 6 3.0 and 6spd box at
less than £3k my mind was made up
Might appear a bit more 'grown-up' than the S2000, but performance wise there's little to choose and with a few tweaks
there'll be little between them tbh.
Or you could go for the Z4M, but that's a different level again!!

Good point Nick, it went well at Blyton by all accounts.

The S2000 is a good handling car.
A hardtop s2000 looks great! Especially in yellow.
If they weren't so much to insure and better on fuel I would have replaced my kit car with one and used it as a daily.

I think the Z4 is the same insurance group as the S2000 and I've just insured that for £250 FC with full Euro breakdown recovery
That is a limited mileage policy though and I'm the wrong side of 40
Oh, and it did 42mpg on the steady journey home.

Interesting. I have driven Westfields, MK Indys, Elises, I also own an MX5. I owned an S2000 for two years and I set a lot of S2000s up for the
S2000 club in the north west
The S2000 is a wonderfully brilliant handling car.
The problem with it is that if you're a sh1t driver, it'll punish you. The diff, mid engined layout and quick steering get a lot of
people in trouble. The main problem people have is they have never driven one that has had a proper geometry setup - most have seized bushes and are
all over the shop.
OBVIOUSLY, the S2000 isn't going to be as pure an experience as the Indy. However, I always have a blast driving them around track
