Altering loom for in car
In currently stripping out my Fireblade loom to put into the car, it's the early 893 engine on carbs, my question is what is the clutch diode
for and do I need to leave it in the loom?

If my memory serves me correctly there are a green/white, green and light green - take all thes to Earth, black/white is ecu power feed and needs
hooking up to 12 volt dc from ignition, you can also common this up to feed each of the black terminals on the coils. Yellow/white and white/ yellow
go to the pulse generator matching colours, yellow /blue and blue/ yellow trying giver coils 1 and4 and 2and3 but I can't remember which 1 does
not hi how coils as I am sat in A+E at the moment
Hook it up like that it will fire straight up with new need for diodes etc
Best regards
Andy

Meant to say diod is all part of the clutch sid stand neutral logic circuit which isn't required on car

Thanks Andy, what are you in A&E?
I didn't think I needed it but wasn't sure if there was any other reason for it,
I've got most of the engine loom done, just need to tidy it up now and solder the connections

No problem John - was killing time in A+E as I managed to stand on a rusty nail and stick it through my foot so time for a tetanus booster
