Speed sensor wire
The pink signal wire on a 929 blade, goes from the speed senor to the clocks and also to the ECM.
Is the ECM connection essential to give a reading to the 929 clocks? As i am running an older 1993 Blade engine.
Thanks

I have some 918 clocks, these triggered from an ABS sensor to ground with only power and Earth to the clocks.
Stick something to trigger the sensor into a drill then spin up with the clocks powered and see if youcan get a reading, I got 20mph without a lot of
effort.

I was trying to get a reading/fluctuation on a mulitimeter, whilst passing a bolt head back and forth in front of the sensor.
Possible the multimeter isnt sensitive enough?
I will try the drill technique and wire the clocks back up.
Just hope the sensor feed to the ECM isnt critical - otherwise im wasting my time.
Managed to get everything else working on the clocks... i will get this sorted.

On the bike it's reading gear teeth, you will not make it move by waggling a bit of metal near it.

Well i tried it with a drill and got nothing.
So here is a highly technical diagram showing my setup. I'm still not getting any speedo reading on the digi clocks. Everything else is working,
so im confident the clocks are working.
Two things that might be causing this to not work -
1- no power feed after the speedo healer
2 - The pink wire is going to the clocks but not to the ECM as per original wiring
Thoughts?
Am i doing anything wrong?
Should add - this is a speedo healer from a Kawasaki - but from what i read this shouldn't matter.
Speed sensor is from 929 Blade.

Do the clocks work without the seeped healer?
The clocks will also need powering up.

Yep, as i say, everything else is working on the clocks.
Not tried leaving out the Healer.. Good idea.

Still nothing.
I don't know if my drill test is good enough really. I've got a bar with two 8mm bolts at opposing right angles - spinning from the chuck.
I'd have thought that would register at least be a few mph..
Trust my wiring is ok above? with the pink with only going to the clocks.
Appreciate the suggestions Mark..
