R1 exhaust can hole
Hi, at a track day with my Sylva riot 2007 R1. After first stint I noticed a 20mm hole blown out right in the middle of the can where it has had a
heat mark for past 5 years. Any thoughts on cause? Hi temps etc? It is a warmish day. Think it is standard can, exup seems to work ok. Engine
standard.
Should I continue with tracking it? Not able to open up can here.

They have a little hole to let out moisture, on the bike it's angled, I expect it has just rotted out as any drain holes are probably not at the
lowest point.

Well went out for the next session and a fist sized hole blew off the can near the first hole. Thinking fuel or oil getting to can combined with
hotspots on surface. Not entirely sure though...
