Sanity check my brain BEC r1 stator voltage reading

To the collective.

Thanks in advance as always

I've got very little experience with the stator of an r1 so maybe a dumb question.

Should I be able to read voltage from the wires coming from the stator and if so what would I expect when the bike is just ticking over.

Its a 2006 5vy engine

Thanks all

David

Yes but remember it's AC, it'll vary a bit with revs from memory maybe like 5 to 25v. The book of lies specifies I think.

To check the stator you need to measure the resistance between any two of the three yellow wires.

Resistance s(ould be 5-6 ohms iirc, but more importantly within a very small margin of each other, and, there should be no continuity to -ve.

Measure the resistance as said.

What's the issue you have?

Thanks all.

Adi hello pal, the old stator coil pretty much smashed its self to pieces. Replaced the coil and still no power but wanted to check if it was working or had done in the rectifier as well.

I'll check the resistance and let you all know what's next.

Thanks again.

Thanks
