Carb wheel broken!!
While trying to fit the cable barrel in the carb wheel, I managed to break the small tab that holds the cable to the wheel. So now, I have no throttle
movement! Are the carbs ready for the trash bin or is there something I can do to fix this problem? Surely this has happend to others as well...
I'd hate to bin them because they were professionally set up on a dyno.

Hi mate when i got my blade engine it was from a fire damaged bike, when all plumbed in and ready to go it leaked bad style.(prob the cause of fire)
Stripped carbs down and there was a small 't' section broken.
Honda part ONLY £16.00, but fixed so i would say yes you can fix anything so go for it.

Chris....
Ahhhh....I've got an answer for you...(happened to mine)
drill a small cable sized hole through to the other side or the carb wheel (towards where the return cable would end) then thread your cable through
there...it means you will have to use a one ended cable that you fit an end to at the pedal, but it does work...

Thanks for the help. I'll try the Colin method first before replacing the wheel (but it is nice to know the option is there!)...
Colin: If I understand right, you used a fixed barrel in the end of your cable and fed the trottle side (and the entire length of the cable) through
the hole. Then sheathed the cable and put a removeable barrel/cable stop on the pedal side. Or di you use a fitting that allowed the cable to be fed
through the card wheel and a removeable fitting sits on the carb end?
Many thank gents!

Chris,
As you first said, had a fixed barrel (small so it doesn't interfere with anything) at carb end, feeding the cable all the way through...then
sheathing etc...
works for me...
cheers

Very good, thanks. I'll have a go at this then try the wheel replacement as a last ditch effort.
