blade sump

hi everyone
ive been cutting those 3 fins of my sump (fireblde) engine so i would have more ground clearance .when cutting the one buy the sump plug ive cut a little to close and slightly nicked the face where the sump plug goes. ive filed it smooth agian but its still not right as it still leaks oil from the plug area .i was going to try to file it again in the week put a new washer on it and try again.
has anyone else got any ideas without replacing the sump ?
thanks

As already mentioned send Chris Gamlim a U2U, his uncle will move the sump plug to the side for you and put another thread in for a oil temp sensor if you like. All for about 40 odd quid.

Excellent service and an excellent job.

Rich.
