R1 sump tulip
I have a 1998 R1 4XV. I have just fitted a baffle plate to the sump. I have a "tube" of sorts which I believe to be the tulip. What do
I do with it?

You slip it over the PRV, like in this photo. WHen you push the PRV back in, it holds it in place.

If its about the size of a 35mm camera cup but with a hole in the bottom too, then it is the tulip. Just pull out the PRV (the other cylindrical metal
thing hanging down apart from the oil pickup pipe), put the tulip on top of the PRV, then push the PRV back into position. You should really replace
the rubber O-Ring on the prv when taking it out but as long as its not damaged it should be fine.
You can see the tulip shrouding the PRV in this pic of Rich Miles's, the PRV is the cylindrical thing at the top of the sump as viewed here.

Have a look on fluke's site, they have a "how to" section, which includes fitting an R1 baffle.
