Spocket size help
Hi all
converting a diff to run chain drive and wondered if I rum 13" wheels what size rear sprocket will I need to look for?
VTR1000 engine with (I think) a 16t front spocket, track use only.
Rear sprocket on the bike is 44t I think

depends entirley whether you want top end or acceleration. if i've worked this out right 16/44 would give you an equivelant sierra diff ratio of
2.75 . jon ison is the one to ask as i think his gt1 was a chain diff

Managed to get an excel sheet that works out the speeds in each gear from Hillclimbsprint forum.

Hi, bit late on this one, I run 54 on rear sprocket then anything fron 15-18 on front depending on circuit ect........
on the road i find 17 on front is fine, this is a Blackbird engine with 15" wheels, your final drive output from the bike box may be different
too mine.
