fireblade baffle plate
I have just purchased one of the baffle plates i saw a pic of it in a topic on here.
has anyone used one of these. I'm a bit worried that yes it will retain oil in the sump but will it allow the oil to drain back into the sump
fast enough to keep up with the oil pickup.
apart from 2 gaskets do i need to do anything else apart from moving the drain plug. ie baffles in the sump

Which topic did you see it in? If its a conventional one like the one in my pic gallery then yes loads of people use them and it will be fine, at
least for a few years then you need to look out for fatigue cracks like mine suffered. All you need to fit it is two gaskets as you suggest, you dont
need anything else like baffling inside the sump etc.
Getting the plug moved is a wise thing to do but only for ground clearance issues, it wont affect surge of course.

I'm in the process of doing the same thing. Check the website for details. You might want to tap for an oil temp as well.
