blade noise

how do you guys get the noise down for track days, I'm currently 103db @ 2/3 which is Ok for hillclimbs but not much good anywhere else considering some places are 3/4, are these any good?

DT are pricey - always!
Those devices work, but sap the power like nobody's business. Merlin m/sport do an add-on 'short' silencer IIRC - they will also advise on noise as they are at Castle Combe which is v.sensitive regarding noise levels.

a longer or secondary silencer will help get the noise down. We've run the merlin motorsport silencer on our vx xe 235bhp race car which got the noise levels down just enough to scrape goodwood without being pulled like we were the previous year. though i had heard that the merlin motorsport one isn't as effective on bike engines, afterall its not very large.
