Ignition Interrupt - ??
Morning All
I'm using the Kliktronic system on my car but I don't currently have the ignition interrupt module.
Do you think it'd worth the £150?
Also, any idea how it works and is wired?
Cheers
TC

it cuts the power to the coils allowing full throttle up change, im not sure about how it affects down change and throttle blip???

This one doesn't.
Any thoughts? Also, if it cuts power to the coils and I'm using the coils to pick-up RPM, how does that work?

Ithink it only cuts the power to the coils for a split second, I dont think it would be a problem, if ity was can you pick up a feed from the ecu??

Apparently not - due to "Tacho Tang" whatever the hell that is.
Hmmmm... might add it later.

Tacho Tango is an affectionate name for the earlier R1 diagnostic codes. If there was a fault (missing exup etc) it would bounce the rev counter up to
a certain reading.

*puts hand up* I've got one on my Indy. I've got the same kliktronic on mine but with the optional ignition cut. I find it very useful on
trackdays as you can just plant the right foot and press the button when required- one less thing to think about!. Alas clutch really needed for
downchanges as it only cuts on way up. To be honest not much point unless you do trackdays/ drag days often.
Ps i'm off to knockhill tonight for 2 hours track time. Yaay
Oh yeah it does cut the coil supply, but only for milliseconds and shows no effect on tacho for my setup. The cut time is adjustable, but i have
bother getting it right. At the moment i've got it set so its seamless changes during full throttle upshifts (it feels like an automatic!) but
at town speeds it shunts the transmission a bit so i usually lift off the throttle during changes unless on on circuit or dragging. This will be in
part, or fully, due to the extra play in my diff thats not meant to be there.

Hmm - interesting.
Does it intercept both live ignition signals or just one?
The car is never seeing the road so that perhaps sways things the expensive way.
Cheers for comment.
